About Sean

A neighbor first. An advisor second. Never a salesman.

I've been in the renewable energy industry for five years and have worked for multiple companies across Southern California and in several other states. Along the way I've been through the wringer — less-than-stellar installation crews, companies that over-promised and under-delivered, proposals built on misleading software. In 2023 the solar company I was partnered with closed its doors, as did roughly 80% of California solar companies at the time. It was a tough experience, and one I knew I had to avoid repeating.

After diligently researching and interviewing the top installers serving Southern California, Aloha Solar Power stood out as the clear choice — the best possible partner I could put behind every home I work with.

My approach to solar is different on purpose. I sit down with you, listen to what your family actually needs, and walk you through your options and the tradeoffs honestly. It takes real experience to understand the pros and cons of the various ways to go solar — plus all the intricacies of a home's electrical system and roof — to properly size an efficient system. Luckily I'm a detail-oriented guy. You'll be in great hands with me and Aloha at your side.

Born and raised in Leucadia, I spend my free time as a self-glorified surf wanderer, high-alpine backpacking enthusiast, powder-seeking snowboarder, former pro scuba instructor, fun-uncle to my nephew, and smile-invoker with my family. There's no place I'd rather work than San Diego, and helping homeowners make the switch to take advantage of the sun is something I've grown to love.

A note from Sean

I live in Encinitas with my family. The same coast, the same fires, the same blackouts you experience — I think about them too. That's why I do this work the way I do: slowly, honestly, and with the long-term in mind.
